Pharmacy Technician I:

1. 18 years of age or older
2. High-school graduate or the equivalent, or currently enrolled in a high school or vocational training program that awards such degree or certificate
3. No convictions of any felony for violations involving controlled substances
4. Currently enrolled in a Board-approved pharmacy technician training program which include:
   • An employer-based Pharmacy Technician training program that includes theoretical and practical instruction as described by the Board
   • Any other training program as approved by the Board
5. Obtain license from the Board: fill out application and pay application fee

Pharmacy Technician II:

1. 18 years of age or older
2. High-school graduate or the equivalent, or currently enrolled in a high school or vocational training program that awards such degree or certificate
3. No convictions of any felony for violations involving controlled substances
4. Successful completion of PTCB or ExCPT Certification Examination
5. Obtain license from the Board: fill out application and pay application fee
